Exhibition terms and conditions:

Please read & print all terms and conditions and sign below.

  • Gallery 11:11 will exercise all reasonable care with art work presented within the exhibition space. Artist/s are advised to insure their art work against damages or loss. Any damage or loss of any art work caused during an exhibition or in transit is the responsibility of the artist.

  • Artworks must be without damage, dry and stable and equipped with D - rings for hanging.

  • Pricing of artwork is the responsibility of the Artist. It is expected that artwork is priced with consideration to prior exhibitions or external gallery relationships.

  • All promotional material including flyers, posters and social media posts must align with the vision of the space. Distribution and promotion of such materials / information must be approved by the Director of the gallery who has the right to decline distribution.

  • Artists who choose to be onsite between Monday - Friday or as negotiated with Gallery 11:11 will respect all aspects of the space including managing noise pollution. Gallery 11:11 will not be liable for any damages, costs or other liabilities. Any damage to Gallery 11:11’s physical space or facilities will be compensated by the exhibiting Artist. With this the Artist bond will not be returned.

  • Exhibitors and purchasers must collect their works on the date negotiated prior to the exhibition. No storage is available for late collection. Delivery fees may apply to work needing to be transported and are the responsibility of the purchaser.

  • The Artist will be paid in full on the condition that all sales have been finalised.

  • If the Artist exhibiting authorises an agent, courier or person other than themselves to collect unsold work, Gallery 11:11 must be notified in advance.

  • The wrapping of art work for collection is the responsibility of the Artist.

  • Commissioned work or sales acquired during exhibition dates and for 8 weeks post exhibition, related to the work exhibited at Gallery 11:11 will incur the 25% commission fee.

  • No more than 2 works may be released to the exhibiting Artist prior to the 8 week post exhibition period for the purpose of entering an Art Prize with the provision that the gallery will be acknowledged both by the entrants application to submit and in the event of a sale which would incur a split commission.

  • If the Artist wishes to be onsite prior to one hour before an opening, this must be negotiated with the Gallery Director.

  • Catering - External catering must be discussed in regard to space needed for setting up / display. Such requirements must be approved two weeks prior to exhibiting.

  • The external gallery / studio will remain open to all gallery patrons at all times and will not stock the exhibiting Artist’s personal belongings or photographer / videographers or any catering equipment.

    This agreement must be signed and returned with the bond to the gallery once the exhibition dates have been confirmed.

Notes for exhibiting Artists:

  • NOTES FOR EXHIBITING ARTISTS:

    ·        $110 bond must be paid to secure the date for the exhibition. This will be refunded at the conclusion of the exhibition on the basis of all terms and conditions being met by the exhibiting Artist (see website for terms and conditions).

    ·       4 weeks prior to the exhibition - payment for the space (the artist will be issued with an invoice).  

    ·       If a running sheet is required it must be emailed to the gallery 1 week prior to the exhibition or a hard copy provided. 
    Gallery - Running sheets may be printed with artwork numbered or alternatively the artist may provide labels.

    ·       All work requires D rings and is to be 100% dry. Framing needs to be previewed by the Artist. Damaged work will not be accepted.

    ·       Promotional material is to be dropped off to the gallery 2 weeks prior to the exhibition to be distributed. 

    ·       Food & beverages are to be delivered at a date negotiated between the Gallery and the Artist. All signage such as wall decals / stencils etc are to be organised by the artist 3 weeks prior to the exhibition and are to be delivered to the gallery on the day of bumping in.

    ·        Exhibition opening is no more than a 4 hour time slot and is negotiated between the Artist and gallery director - scheduled appointments available.

    ·        Weekend hours 10am - 4pm (scheduled hours) or otherwise negotiated with the gallery director. The Artist may be required to attend scheduled appointments. This is negotiated prior to and during the exhibition. 

    ·        The director of the gallery will attend all scheduled appointments during the week.

    ·       The Artist and gallery are to continue advertising on social media for the duration of the exhibition. The Artist must ensure that marketing / promotional material, including social media content is aligned with the Gallery values and vision for the space. Marketing should also reference the gallery within the 8 week post exhibition period.

    ·       The Artist will be paid (sales of work) within 7 days of the closing of the exhibition providing all payments have been finalised for the purchase of artwork.

    ·       Clients will be contacted by the gallery for collection of artwork at the closing of the exhibition.
