"The Expansive Landscape"

A landscape painting workshop for those seeking to better understand and capture the visual experience of the natural world and its essential qualities - form, expanse and atmosphere.

The workshop will focus on how to create the sense of depth, distance, and atmosphere through the use of colour and value, how to communicate scale and the experience of immersion through subject selection and composition, and painting strategies to be more effective in creating compelling imagery of the natural landscape.  

Suitable for artists at all levels.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:

Gamsol or Odourless Solvent

Linseed Oil

Oil paints - Titanium white, Phthalo Blue, Lemon Yellow, Pyrrole Red, Raw Umber, Ultramarine Blue or Magenta (Optional)

Brushes - Natural bristles preferable, Filbert or Flat, Sizes 6, 8, 10

GALLERY 11:11 WILL PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING:

Palette, rags, palette knife , canvas panels and morning tea.
