Inspired by a waterside view I came across while passing through Bellingen, this painting captures the contrast of the cascading willow, autumn foliage and deep, reflective water.
The willow is a tree I find myself returning to in my work. Beyond its connection to childhood memories, I’m drawn to what it represents — the ability to bend, adapt and move with change while remaining firmly rooted.
